Community
Across Aotearoa, we have a growing kirtan community.
From small weekly gatherings to multi-day festivals, people come together to sing, share food, and connect - often weaving kirtan alongside yoga, meditation, and conscious living. It’s a welcoming and participatory space,
where everyone is invited to join in, regardless of experience.
While spread across the country, the community remains closely connected - with many travelling between events, supporting one another, and helping keep the spirit of kirtan alive in Aotearoa.
Offer Your Service:
Become a Karma Yogi
Karma Yogis are the heart of Kirtan Fest - the steady hands and open hearts who help weave this gathering into being.
We’re now opening applications for Kirtan Fest 2027 (1st–5th January). We take a thoughtful and caring approach to creating a balanced, well-supported team, so that the experience is nourishing and enjoyable for everyone involved.
If you feel called to offer your energy in service, connection, and devotion to kirtan, we would truly love to hear from you.
Karma Yogi tickets are $190 (camping), which includes 4 nights accommodation and two meals, along with a simple shared meal on Friday evening and Saturday lunch. (There maybe room/cabin accommodation available for those needing to upgrade).

Mantra Chanting & Kirtan with Cacao.
Whanganui
Our practice will begin with the meditative practice of repeating a mantra 108 times which helps calm the mind and connect one to a deeper sense of presence. With each repetition, the mantra becomes an anchor, drawing the awareness inward and inviting a sense of peace and clarity.
